My 2 months in Nepal : Romy Schmit - Luxembourg

Bijen, Rabyn, Shristie and Yuxeena  I'd like to say thank you to all of you! You've been doing  a good job! with your help I could spent two amazing and wonderful 2 months in Nepal.

I had a great time living in the host family and working in "Orphan Disable and Dalit Preservation child Home" in Kathmandu. In the first week, Christina former volunteer from Singapore and I became a good team, while painting and decorating their rooms.

Later I taught the children some drawing and making different kinds of handicrafts. They all have big potential and just need a chance and a guiding hand to become wonderful personalities.

I spent some good moments with these joyful kids and the staff. They all welcomed me everyday with cheerful "GOOD MORNING" and "MISS HOW ARE YOU?"  And when you see the glooming eyes and smiling faces of the children, you feel reassures, doing the right thing and spending time with them.  I can benefit a lot from this project!

And during my last week I went safari and trekking, which is the best way of knowing the people, culture and amazing places in Nepal! Thanks Shiva, (my trekking guide). it was fun walking with him through the Annapurna-hills and counting leeches on our shoes!

Thank you and Pheri Bhetaula !
